I went to the Emery/Gatsbys American Dream/Gym Class Heroes last night. It was off the hook. We got there and As Cities Burn was finishing up. From the half a song I heard, they were alright, not too original. After them was Gym Class Heroes. Ive heard some of their songs before and knew they were a hip hop type group but their set was not anything that I was expecting. I was into all the songs that they played. I think they made a fan out of every one in the crowd. Up next was GAD. I heard some songs off their new cd and thought they were ok. I liked their older stuff better because it was more punk rock and filled with harmonies but I guess they changed their sound with the new cd. Anyways, Emery came up next and they tore the place up. Coming out with cowboy outfits and having saloon backdrops made the whole thing a lot better. I barely knew any words to any of the songs they played but they made me sing out loud the entire time. I also didnt think they were that big of a band. Ive seen them before but didnt think they had this type of fan base. The glasshouse was sold out and had everyone going.
I might be on the verge of starting something new in the coming week or so. Be on the lookout for that.
